" Be our guest, be our guest, put our service to the test " - Lumiere
NAME: Lucien Marcel Marion NICKNAMES: Luc AGE: twenty BIRTHDAY: December fifth ORIENTATION: heterosexual NATIONALITY: French OCCUPATION: Concierge at the bed & breakfast PLAYED BY: Chord Overstreet DISNEY: Lumiere - Beauty & the Beast USER GROUP: sex symbol
PERSONALITY !
FLIRTATIOUS: Lucien flirts with anything that moves. He's a straight male but he's been known to wink at a few guys just to get them riled up. He lives for the way his body stirs up when he's being given attention. It probably makes him more of a tease than flirtatious but his charm somehow softens the blow of his behavior and keeps him merely at flirtatious. Luc does it all. He winks, uses corny pick up lines, and even whispers simple things that everyone wants but somehow manages to make it sound like he meant it only for you. He's notorious for his range of women and men that his talent has touched in some way or another. Sure, the flirtation usually leads to more but like all teases, he doesn't put out unless he honestly feels the need to. He may break your heart but somehow at the end of the day, you're just happy you met such a fellow. REBELLIOUS: As much as he is flirtatious, Luc is rebellious. His motto is often, 'what kind of fun can you have when you're following the rules?' Of course, he would never do something so off the wall that it would hurt his boss or his boss' business but he's been known to push the limit. Perhaps it's the adrenaline rush you get from almost being caught or just because he's bored, but whatever it is keeps Lucien rebelling against the rules. The rules may even be something so simple as to tell a customer about the Thursday special and Lucien will go out of his way to make sure he tells all of the customers about the Tuesday special. He obviously gets in trouble for such things but it keeps a smile of the boss' face whether the big guy wants to admit it or not. As long as the big guy upstairs isn't too mad, Lucien has vowed to keep breaking rules to keep things interesting in life. ENTHUSIASTIC It's hard to enjoy your job especially if you work almost every day of the week. Somehow Lucien manages to stay enthusiastic about his job. It may be the millions of women and men that come walking through there every day or just the simple fact that his closest friends work at the same place as he does. Whatever it is, works for him and being the concierge, it's mandatory for Luc to remain enthusiastic. He has to talk to people about new specials, when the new food's hot and ready, or even just to wish them a good day. A smile stays constantly on his lips and there's often a sort of light that glows off of him even during his busy work hours. Obviously, not everything about his job is fine and dandy but Lucien keeps up the enthusiastic spirit so he can not only keep the job but stay on the boss' good side so he won't get in as much trouble if he attempts to do anything against the rules.
QUIRKS:- tends to lick his lips if he's interested in someone - bites his bottom lip only if he plans to tease a person - speaks with a mixture of French and English - can't drink a cup of coffee, but can drink gallons of anything else that's highly caffeinated
LIKES: women, flirting, vanilla, beautiful smiles, speaking in French, Babette, his job, breaking the rules, pushing the limit, talking to customers. DISLIKES: rude customers, people that don't play along with his flirtatious games, negativity, getting on the boss' bad side, fumbling his French and English when he's angry, feeling vulnerable, rejection, coffee, people that confuse flirtatious with slutty, stupidity.
HISTORY !
The first and only born to Monsieur and Mademoiselle Marion, Lucien was their pride in joy. The French family lived at first in Valenciennes, France, but soon found themselves moving to Fantasia City for a new set of opportunities. Lucien can't quite remember France but he was truly a French boy as he could only speak fluent French when they decided to move around his age of seven. By the time they arrived in Fantasia City, a few days later, Lucien was slowly learning the language of English. For the first few years, Lucien stuck mostly with his parents and the few people they knew from France. They were particular good friends with the man who owned the local bed and breakfast.
It wasn't until Lucien had hit puberty did he begin to branch out and meet others. He spent most of his time over at the bed and breakfast just because his parents were there a majority of their time. Within no time, he had learned all the employees' names and their life stories. That was when Lucien realize he could be a people's person and it helped greatly that he was 'cute' and 'adorable'. He began using his looks to his advantage, smiling way more and asking simple questions any curious teenager would wander. Now that he was old enough to start taking responsibility, his parents managed to talk to their friend, the owner of the bed and breakfast, and get him a job. He became the establishment's concierge. He was meant to talk to customers, tell about the place's specials or any upcoming events, answer any questions they had about the place, and overall make sure their stay was very good. Lucien quickly grew comfortable in the role as concierge, learning to flirt with customers to keep business flowing through from some of the older employees.
Seven years later and Luc is one of the most highly commented workers at the place. Anyone that's stayed at the bed and breakfast knows who he is and somehow never seems to forget him. He's stayed close friends and confidants with all of the employees and continues his work wooing over girls and boys of all ages with his pretty boy smile and foreign accent.
SAMPLE !
Was he honestly expecting a warm welcome? Not in the least bit but there was always that sliver of a chance that things could go smoothly. He was, of course, very wrong. So wrong, in fact, that the sting of Bri's hand hitting his cheek seemed to pause just long enough for him to realize what happened before it started hurting. He gulped, hating himself all the more the longer he stood there. He should've called. He should've written a letter, sent a text, left a voicemail...anything..anything but what he just did. Why hadn't he thought this through? Of course she would smack him. He had left for seven months, basically an entire year and here he was...attempting to act like nothing happened. His hand twitched to touch his cheek but he kept his hand right near his side. If he touched the burning cheek, he got the feeling Bri would smack his hand down or something. She wanted to inflict pain and he would let her. He deserved said pain, he deserved it more than he deserved the right to breathe at the moment. His blue eyes stared at his once girlfriend. She was crying hot tears but he didn't dare touch her face. It was more than surprisingly difficult to keep his hands to himself. He wanted so badly to cup her face, kiss her forehead, and wipe away the tears he had caused but he knew that would do no good. She would probably hit him more and even though he knew he deserved it, Gene preferred not to be smacked to death.
Gene ran a hand slowly through his shaggy blonde hair, wishing he had thought this through more. His gaze dropped to the ground as he shifted his weight from one foot to the other. Her questions replayed in his mind. What the hell was he expecting? And who did he think he was? Gene bit his bottom lip. What was he to do now? He had come to the house, stated that he was back and he got slapped. Was that it? Had he come back with hopes of reconstructing the family he had left only to be smacked in denial? A gentle sigh left his lips as he brought his gaze back toward the girl he still loved. "Look...Bri, I'm sorry. I..I should've told you I was coming back...I'm sorry.." What else could he really say? Sorry was the only appropriate word in this entire conversation. Okay, he could do this...just take control of the situation and get things going from there...right? His blue gaze flickered back to Bri, his chest getting pains as he watched her expressions become more hurt the longer he existed in her view. Might as well just try and comfort her despite the possible consequences.
Gene closed the gap between the once lovers, his arms encircling the blonde before him. Okay, so it was a bit odd that he was hugging her when she was angry at him but he figured nothing else would work. He knew she would struggle against his hold and he expected it to happen at any moment. Why would she want to be hugged by the guy that ditched her? "I'm terribly sorry..just...calm down, Bri..please. I'm...trying to fix things.." When did he all of a sudden become all rational sounding? It must've came to him the second he decided to head back to Palmer or something. Either way, he kept his arms around her in a tight hug, his apologies now only mere whispers in Brianna's ear. He couldn't say sorry enough and as he hugged her, waiting for her retaliation against his idiotic moves, Gene couldn't stop himself from continuing to beg for forgiveness.
