PERSONALITY !

LOYAL! Jack, much like his canine counterpart, is very loyal. When he commits himself to a friend, he sticks with them like glue and has their back no matter what. So far, he hasn't settled down with a woman, but a certain strawberry-blonde boy has been catching his eye, thus making his loyalty merge with his protective bone.
OVERLY SENSITIVE! Jack takes a lot of things to heart. Even though he doesn't always show it, when someone upsets him or when someone hurts him in some way, he just bottles it up until he just explodes and breaks down. If someone seems to be messing with someone he cares for (even if they aren't) Jack will immediately jump into action and protect them (or he'll grab his buds and go on some kind of hair-brained mission).
PROTECTIVE! Jack is SEVERELY protective of his friends. And when it comes to someone he cares for more than a friend he will hover over them and make sure no harm comes to them (but inconspicuously of course). So if someone goes to make the move to hurt someone he cares for, they'll have Jack to deal with.

HISTORY !

John William Dawkins was born on August 1st to Nancy and Charles Dawkins. When the baby made his entrance into the world, Nancy took to calling him Jack instead of John, which was perfectly alright with his father and from then on, Jack was rarely called by his first name unless he was in trouble.

Jack's childhood was a good one, the boy learned how to play the piano at the age of five when his mother bought one for the house and he sat at it all day so he could play the song his mother loved to sing. It wasn't until Jack turned 18 that his father made his life miserable. The man demanded that Jack become a businessman, like himself, but Jack wasn't really into being someone who had to wear a suit all day. That wasn't the life for him.

His father kicked him out right after he graduated from high school and Jack was fine with that. He'd been accepted at a music school with a full-ride scholarship in the meantime, so he moved into the dorms and started taking on part time jobs to save for a place of his own. Once he graduated from the school with straight As, Jack settled into an apartment of his own.

The man got a job as the music teacher at the local high school, which was fine for now. Jack loved music and he loved teaching, so the job seemed to be a good fit. One day on his way home from work he stumbled upon a brawl between some students of his as they seemed to be picking on a smaller boy. Jack broke it up and brought the boy home, finding out he lived on the streets since he ran from the orphanage.

Since then, Jack has had a roommate, both to his dismay and his enjoyment. Since the boy moved in, he has quit drinking (for the most part) and started smoking less since he now smokes outside. Thanks to Oliver, Jack is now becoming a better person. He started talking to his mother again, his father is slowly getting there, and he's gotten better at being a people person. (Just a note, I got permission from Mary Jane to put Oliver in there. She's planning on apping for him soon.)
