"Buzz, you've got wings! You glow in the dark! You talk! Your helmet does that, that... *whoosh* thing! You are a cool toy! In fact... you're too cool." - Woody
NAME: Woodrow Thomas Pride NICKNAMES: Woody or Pride, but those close to him will call him Tommy or Tom AGE: Twenty-four BIRTHDAY: April 3rd ORIENTATION: Heterosexual NATIONALITY: American OCCUPATION: Police officer PLAYED BY: Matt Bomer DISNEY: Woody from Toy Story trilogy USER GROUP: Hero
PERSONALITY !
LEADER ! Woody is a natural-born leader. When he does anything, he takes it very seriously and is always happy to take the reins on a project or idea, and usually does when it comes down to it. People who know his usually let him do his thing and he has come to be sure not to let them down, especially when it comes to those he loves. When someone needs motivating, he's there. When they need reassurance, he's there. And he'll always be there. He's always had a way with words and making people believe in whatever he's talking about. He likes being number one, so much that when someone threatens his position he can go a little crazy and try anything to protect his spot. Though he tries to share the spotlight a bit, no matter how hard it is for him.
SARCASTIC ! Despite being a law official, Woody still likes to play around. Not on the job, never, but anytime else you'll always finding him having a laugh or trying to brighten someone up with a joke. At work he's all about working, but that's how it should be right? Tough situations sometimes call for laughter, and he's good for that. He's also very sarcastic, too much, especially when dealing with people who break the law. With his friends he's jokingly sarcastic, but when it comes to criminals it much more harsh.
MOTIVATOR ! Whether Woody thinks something can happen or not, he will have everyone believing nothing can go wrong. He likes inspiring others, and being in charge he often had to invoke hope in everyone else, even himself. He hates to see people give up on themselves, and will do everything in his power to make sure it doesn't happen. His own problems sometimes take a back seat to others, and he'll worry about himself later and make sure everyone else is alright. He's also someone that everyone seems to turn to for advice and for inspiration when things aren't looking up, and as a leader he's usually there with some food for thought and making sure no one gives up.
CONFIDENT ! He takes his responsibilities seriously, especially at work. When he has to take the reins on a case, he's sure no one compromises that, and even when he isn't always sure of himself, he makes sure the others can't see that, and tries to convince himself he's right. When it comes down to plans, he is the man behind the scenes coming up with how everything will plan out and how everyone will contribute. When people need motivating, he's your guy. He gladly drop what he's doing and help people get on beard. He has no problem telling others what he thinks and what to do, and as long as he is in control most know that things are sure to turn out okay. He's got a pretty damn good track record. He also know that others listen and trust him after all this time, a fact that he wants to make sure never changes.
RASH ! Woody does not know how to control his anger. Plain and simple. He tends to explode and his emotions go all over the place, and he can't stop them once they're out. It usually starts out as simple frustration, but usually ends in full on anger and yelling. He is also quite rash most of the time when it comes to doing things, but even more so when he's angry. Usually his bouts of anger don't end well, with someone being mad or him, or him ending up mad at himself. He tries to control his temper but has not gotten very good at it. His rash decision making never usually ends well, and for the most part he can expect to regret ever acting on his intentions.
QUIRKS: He has a lucky hat that he's had since he was thirteen that he never takes off, still has all his old toys in his mom's attic and refuses to let her get rid of them, moves hands a lot when talking, when he's mad his accent gets thicker
LIKES: organization, his lucky hat, horses, old westerns, giving advice, dogs, his job, enforcing the law, being with friends, old board games DISLIKES: change, liars, people who break the law, cheaters, getting pushed aside, rules not being followed, his ideas not being recognized, being outshone, heights
HISTORY !
Woody was born in Austin, Texas to two loving parents. They were always a pretty average family, living in a decent sized house and keeping to themselves. Woody was showered with everything he could have ever wanted, from a horse to almost any toy he wanted. His room was always filled to the brim with toys, and his imagination would run wild for hours. If his parents didn't tell him it was time to eat or sleep, he wouldn't have.
Even at a young age he would walk around with a cowboy hat, enforcing the law and throwing the "bad guys" in jail. He would watch old westerns and sneak out of his room at night cop shows, and he knew that one day he wanted to enforce the law, and stop all the evil and corruption.
Though his imagination wasn't enough to keep him company. He wanted a little brother, but his mother told him time after time it would never happen. She enrolled him in school, hoping he would meet some friends and drop the topic altogether. Never one to be shy, he met a boy named Drew, who was soon to become his best friend. He was the closest thing Woody ever got to a brother, and with the amount of time they spent at each others houses, it was practically so. They did everything together, and everyone in their town knew that you didn't get one without the other. They had to be in the same classes, same teachers, same everything.
The beginning of high school was a breeze for the two. There was nothing they couldn't conquer. Everything seemed perfect, but when Drew announced he was moving away, Woody couldn't imagine life without his best friend. Hell, he was his brother. It was like losing a limb. The two tried to keep in contact, but with the two being so far away, the letters got less and less, and eventually faded completely.
Woody moved to Fantasia after high school, and soon enrolled in college, and the police academy when he turned 19, knowing that he wanted to enforce the law in any way possible, and currently works as an officer for the town.
SAMPLE !
People watching had recently become one of Woody’s favorite things to do around here. Besides keeping the peace, of course. To him, no sheriff badge, no problem. He still enjoyed helping people in need. Though help wasn’t always necessary, so when he wasn’t helping people, he was watching people. Not in a creepy way, of course, he just enjoyed watching people and all of the weird things they did. It got to be quite entertaining.
He never realized how weird humans were. It made Woody miss his friends back home, they were far from weird. Well, not weird like this. He still couldn’t believe he hadn’t found any of them by now, and had already mistaken a few people for Buzz and Jesse. Everything was different and it made Woody wish for a bit of familiarity.
Finishing his ice cream, he tossed it into then nearest bin and sighed. In a new world how could one possibly be bored? Especially with these rides! It was odd, but Woody couldn’t help it. He wanted his friends with him because he knew they would love it here. Sometimes things were more fun with friends, and rides could be pretty lonely without anyone to enjoy them with. It was times like this he missed Bo especially. He hadn’t seen her in years and he knew she would really like it here. She was always up for an adventure, which was why they got along so well.
Pushing the rim of his hat, he continued to watch people, and casually glanced up when he heard a voice. Someone was talking to him, someone he didn’t know. But she looked familiar. Had they ever met? He probably would have remembered her, but he felt like they had. How was that possible?
"Are you new to these parts?"
Her voice, her face… all too familiar. His heart told him who she reminded him of, but it was too good to be true. “Um…” That smile. He’d never forget it. It had to be, but only one way to be sure. “Sure am, ma’am. You wouldn’t happen to be lookin’ for the sheriff around these parts, would ya?” he said, putting on his best cowboy voice. If it really was her, she was sure to know it was him now.

Hey, it looks like your application is done, but you've still got the "wip" in your title. Are you ready to have this read?
Please respond or we will need to move this app to the abandoned board.
