Rita is saucy. There is no denying that. The young woman absolutely refuses to let people even try to push her around, she has a great love for sarcasm and she has no problem using it, either. She is one of the farthest from prim and proper girls that you'll ever meet. She's blunt when she wants to be and when she needs to be and she can be very harsh at times as well. If Rita doesn't like you, you will know. She can be quite impudent, but most of the time she is respectful to authority figures unless they've done something to make her dislike them.


TOUGH!

Rita has been through a lot to make her keep the tough outer shell that she has to keep herself from getting her heart broken. She trusts easier than she lets on, but there are very few people that she would say that she actually trusts with her life. She will flirt if she likes someone enough or if they have something she wants, but she never actually goes anywhere with it besides just flirting or possibly a make out session or two, but that is really quite rare, she's got much more to worry about than boy troubles and so she just doesn't even bother most of the time.


MOTHERLY!

Despite Rita's attempts to keep herself guarded, she has a constant need to watch over young and seemingly helpless people. She can't help herself, she just has this motherly instinct to take care of people who can't take care of themselves. She is a wonderful listener and shoulder to cry on, and she's very wise most of the time if you need any sort of advice. She doesn't have much experience in the ways of love, but she encourages people to follow their hearts nonetheless, because hers has nearly always rewarded her in some way.

Rita is far from cocky, but she is very confident in herself, and she doesn't let anyone attempt to tell her otherwise because she knows better than that. She knows her strengths and her weaknesses and she avoids said weaknesses as much as possible. She has self esteem issues as the rest of the world, because she hates herself for having to stoop to stealing to get through life. She's pretty optimistic regardless, she has a pretty positive outlook on life despite the fact that she doesn't know how she's going to manage dinner.

HISTORY !

Rita was born to an unwed couple by the name of Gerald Lance and Missy Stratford. Once the two of them found out that Missy was expecting, they eloped regardless of both of their lack of money. And thus, Marguerite Rachael Lance was brought into the world of trailer parks and poverty. Her parents didn't think that it would be so hard to raise her, it was just a little girl, after all.

To say that Rita was always the responsible, cool calm and collected young woman that she is now would be a total lie. Rita used to be one of the boys, she was loud and straightforward and demanding, and not to mention dirty. Oh yes, mud throwing was the most fun on Marguerite's list of Funnest Things Ever as a child. Gerald and Missy didn't know what they had gotten themselves into; but when she was twelve, Missy was killed in a drive-by, being an innocent bystander in the wrong place at the wrong time, forcing Rita to grow up and help support the tiny family who was already struggling in debts. And so she began pickpocketing, as her job as a waitress didn't give her enough for hardly anything. She became a pro in no time at all, though she was never proud of it.

Her father was extremely disappointed when he found out about her pickpocketing, but he never stopped her because it helped so much in their very many debts, as his job only allowed him to work whenever he was needed and hers didn't pay all that well. She has not yet been caught pickpocketing, however, and she's hoping to keep it that way, even though she'd rather not be caught because she wasn't doing it, not because she got so good at stealing and lying that she'd be able to get away with anything.
