Jessie loved playing outside in the snow. But what was more fun was playing football in the snow. In general, all games were much more fun when they were played in the snow. And football was no exception. And the Sherwood Park was perfect for this. Over the night it had started snowing and now there was a lot of snow, almost like a blanket. It looked so soft and very peaceful, so of course Jessie had to play in it. She had texted her friend, Edward and he had agreed to meet her here. That just made it all more great. Edward was three years younger than her, but Jessie had no problem with that! He was a great guy and that was what mattered, wasn't it?
Right, now Jessie was on her way to the Sherwood Park. She had just left her apartment and locked the door and she was now heading down to take a bus. Normally she would either take her bike and run. But there was snow all over the place. Yes, Jessie had a funny way to dress. But if she was doing some sort of training outside, she had to be prepared in all kinds of weather. And that meant shorts with leggins underneath. For some people it was highly normal to wear clothes like this. But Jessie was one of those girls that couldn't care less about what other people thought about her. She was wearing her favorite purple sweater and underneath the hoodie there was a black hat. Simply because she always froze her ears in the winter.
Jessie stepped on the bus and paid the bus driver and looked down in the bus. It was filled. Jessie just remained standing. She wasn't going that far. After ten minutes and a lot of people hopping on and off the bus, the bus stopped right outside Sherwood Park and Jessie hopped off and took a deep breath and felt the cold, icy air fill her lungs. She felt great! And then she saw Edward sitting on a bench. Obviously waiting for her. He was holding a football in his hands. Jessie smiled to him and ran the last bit of way over to him. "Eddy! How are ya, pardner?" She asked with a smile and her normal texan accent.

FAKE AND WHINE, THEY MAKE YOU LIVE THE LIFE THEY DEFINE - - - - -Edward wasn't really used to girls wanting to play football with him. Most of the girls in his life were more of the girly "ew, football." type. Jessie was different, it seemed, because she had been the one to text him about spending the day together, and hey, he didn't mind, Jessie might have been sort of strange at times but she was very cool, and also, she was pretty hot, so that never hurt, either. He had been laying on his bed throwing the football up in the air and catching it repeatedly, extremely bored, when she had texted him, and then upon receiving it, almost got hit in the face with said football, and then he ran off towards the Sherwood Park.
It was cold outside. Probably because it was December, and it was winter, Edward supposed, but still. He didn't really like it. He'd never really liked the cold all that much, but he hated being cooped up in his own house either, so he sucked it up. Sort of. Well, unless he found someone to complain to, then he could whine for hours. But everyone seemed to be all no-nonsense lately, when he wailed about the cold they just told him to shut up and be a man, and then he mumbled something about not wanting to be a man and shuffled off angrily, this had happened with his parents multiple times already. However, it was true, he didn't want to grow up, ever, he never did and he probably wouldn't ever, and he thought it was stupid that adults were just so ... grown up. What was wrong with staying childish, he wanted to know!
He was sitting on a bench staring down at the football in his hands with his leg bouncing up and down almost rhythmically, waiting for Jessie, and the next time he looked up he saw her bounding towards him, and a wide grin stretched across his face. "Jessieeee!" Edward replied, standing up and giving her a one-armed hug. "I'm just fine.. pardner." Here he attempted a texan accent of his own and ended up sounding utterly ridiculous, so he dropped that right off as he let her go. "How 'bout you?" He asked, still grinning at his friend excitedly. He loved playing football with Jessie, he never really had to worry about her stopping in the middle of the game and screaming "OMG I BROKE A NAIL!!1!!!1!!" or something along those lines, she might even be tougher than Ed himself, but that was something to which he would never admit.

Football was fun. Especially if you played it with someone like Eddy. A laugh came across her lips as he tried talking with a texan accent. It sounded awful, but instead of saying that, she just laughed and hugged him back. Then he asked how she was. She shrugged and then smiled. "I'm actually just peachy! Life is dandy!" She said and nodded. It was true! Jessie was having the time of her life - with a great job she loved and a lot of great friends. So yeah, life was sweet!
It was indeed rather cold outside, and being from Texas it was darn cold. Jessie was used to rather hot temperatures, so a december with snow and all was pretty new, but still great! Anyways, Jessie noticed the football in his hands and she smiled. "Ready for a game?" Jessie asked with a rather teasing smile and a wink and before he could knew of it, she had kind of stolen the ball from his hands and with a laugh she started playing around the bench where he was sitting just seconds ago. It was fun teasing Eddy.
Jessie had been inside all morning and even though it was terribly cold, she was so up for this match. She wasn't the type of girl to sit still for many minutes. Besides, she had slightly ADHD, so it was almost impossible for her to focus on one thing. This cold weather made her even more hyper and happy. Jessie was happy that she was wearing shorts with leggins underneath. She stopped playing around with the ball for a minute and thought about Woody and Buzz, her tow best friends. She missed them. It had been a while since they had been hanging out. But then she decided not to think about them, even though practically always thought about Buzz.. Yes, Jessie was probably a little bit in love with Tyler James Year. It was pretty.. awful really, because she wasn't sure how he felt about her.
Jessie shook her head and clapped her hands together and jumped a bit up in the air. Ready for a good and awesome match! "Come on now, Eddy! It's getting cold! Show me some enthusiasm!" She called with a great smile and eager in her voice. Jessie had no time to think about either Buzz or Woody. She was about to play football with Eddy!

FAKE AND WHINE, THEY MAKE YOU LIVE THE LIFE THEY DEFINE - - - - -Edward grinned at his friend as she laughed at him and his horrible attempt at an accent, and then he chuckled at her enthusiasm. That was the thing about Jessie, she was enthusiastic and happy about pretty much everything. He liked that. It was a nice change of pace from the usual deadbeat people that he liked to call mom and dad. He was so busy grinning at her that he completely missed her snatching the ball away from his hands. "Heey, that is soo not niiiice!" He whined loudly even though he couldn't get rid of his big smile, he just couldn't help it, Jessie was just far too hard not to smile around.
Jessie was just as hyperactive as Edward was, which was very nice because that meant she did things as fast as he did, he was glad he had someone that didn't think he was totally crazy because he couldn't stand still for more than two seconds, because he totally knew a lot of people who judged him solely because of the fact that one part of him was moving whether or not he realized it. He crouched down a little with a teasing smile at his similarly odd though slightly older and more feminine friend.
Ed could think back to a time where he absolutely hated girls, he thought they were positively disgusting and there was nothing that he wanted to do with them at all, the last thing that he would want to do was play football with them. He had been convinced that they all had cooties and they had some sort of evil secret plot, of what he wasn't completely sure but for whatever reason it was evil and he didn't trust them. That, however, was a long time ago, before he discovered the wondrous world of hormones. That of course was great. The random embarrassing voice cracks were definitely so beyond the best!
Ed was just a regular teenage boy, he was just way more immature than most of them and much less likely to actually grow up one day, or to get hired by anyone who wanted the job done instead of having one extremely ADHD employee who would much rather flirt with the younger female customers and fellow employees than actually do his job. And yes, this had actually happened. Multiple times. So many times, actually, that he decided to give up on it for at least the next few years. Or ever, in that case. But saying in the next few years made his parents stop ragging on him.
It wasn't like he was totally out of control, though. He was just a little.. overenthusiastic about being young and living his life and pretty much just staying young for as long as he possibly could which would hopefully, in his mind, be the next eighty years or so.
He grinned again as she told him to show some enthusiasm, and he bounced a little closer, his eyes locked on the football. "Enthusiasm? Psh, enthusiasm is something you should never have to ask me of all people for, come on now, I thought you knew better than that, Jessie, I am hurt." He said in a mock insulted tone, putting his hand over his heart over dramatically before spinning on his heel and taking a slightly hopeless dive towards the football resting in Jessie's hands.
