[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,325,true] THERE WERE DOWN DAYS, and there were up days. Everyone had them, Tink was sure. It was part of the human existence to fluctuate. Some people though, Tinka had noted, seemed to fluctuate more than others. Or have more bad days. If she was thankful for one thing, it was that she wasn’t that sort of a person. Living in a constant state of depression. Dark clouds always over your head. It didn’t exactly sound like a fun way to live, that was for sure. When there wasn’t someone Tinka was jealous over, she generally was a rather happy person. A blunt, honest person, but a happy one. Still though, happy people had their down days. It was a good thing for the blonde that she had discovered a remedy for her down days.
Neverland. The place of childhood dreams. The place most of Tinka’s childhood dreams were made out of. As a young girl, her mother never had a lot of money for such expensive entertainment. However each time Tinka won a pageant, her mother would use some of the prize money to take the girl somewhere fun; the Zoo, the Imax.. Tink almost always chose Neverland though. It wasn’t as though she had s thing for theme parks really. It was just this particular one that she had such an affinity with. Really she couldn’t explain it. She was just drawn to it in ways that couldn’t be explained. Who needed to explain them though? If they made you happy then that was all that really mattered.
Now as an adult (or well, close to one anyway), Tinka still found herself drawn to the place. So much so that she had asked her mother for a season pass for her last birthday. Those things were really good value for locals. For just the price of a few visits she could go as often as she liked within a year. Sometimes it could be frustrating though, like when none of your friends had the money to go. Still thought, it was nice to go alone from time to time. She didn’t like to make a habit of it, but sometimes when she needed a lift, off she’d go and ride the tilt-a-whirl till she threw up or something.
Today she needed the cheering up. Today Peter was seeing Luce, and Tinka was, needless to say, very unhappy about it. The whole situation was frustrating for the young blonde. However she was determined not to let herself mope around all day. As tempting as that did sound. No, she would go to Neverland and ride the tea-cups. That had been a favourite ride as a child, and she had hoped it was just what she would need to perk her spirits up. So without even bothering to see if anyone wanted to come with her she had thrown on some skinny jeans and a cute sweater (a rather bland outfit, by Tink’s standards) and hoped on one of the charter busses that ran from the city to the park.
She had been right in thinking the tea-cups would cheer her up. It was a few hours later and she was just stepping off the platform after her third go at the tea-cups that day. It didn’t even really matter that she was alone. Smiling to herself, she looked around. What to do now? That was a rather important question wasn’t it? One she considered for a moment. Something to eat and drink wouldn’t go astray actually. Weaving her way across the crowd, the blonde made her way to one of the park’s many over-priced cafes. Eek, did she even have enough cash on her for a place like this?

CAUSE WE ALL JUST WANNA BE BIG ROCK STARS - - - - - - - - - - Considering how he tended to disagree with his parents a lot about his life choices (or, the lack thereof, considering his life choices consisted of video games, football, music, and watching cartoons.), Edward was actually having a pretty good day. He hadn't fought with his parents yet, he'd beaten the last level on some random video game and he had been able to run off to Neverland without getting reprimanded about how he needed to grow up and stop going to the amusement park and find something better and more productive with his time.
Edward tended to find himself at Neverland quite a lot, regardless of whether he was having a bad day or a good day. He wasn't really sure what it was that drew him to the amusement park. He had gone when he was younger every time he got angry with his adoptive parents, it was like a hideout, in a way, and after a while he just came with or without a reason. It was his favorite place of all time, that was for sure, that and then the park, but as it had been getting colder he had been coming out to the park less, unless there was a sure chance of a snowball fight. However, nothing could stop him from going to Neverland. He usually went on his own and met someone there.
That was how he had met Luce, which had been cool, she was really nice and really cute, but Tinka never really seemed to like her, which Edward didn't really understand, but he would never understand girls (of this he was sure). Ed did like girls, a lot, but they were just so complicated. So he didn't really try, if he didn't understand something he just pretended that he did and went along with it, the female sex was not exempt from that at all. In fact, they were probably the things that Edward understood least in the world, them and adults.
It wasn't like he was the sharpest tool in the shed, anyway.
He was heading towards the cafes, finding himself very hungry after hearing his stomach grumble louder than he thought possible. He probably wouldn't have even noticed that he was hungry if it hadn't been for that, he was having so much fun it didn't even pass through his mind. But it wasn't a problem, he had his credit card after all. He wasn't really paying any attention to where he was going, which nearly always ended in disaster for Edward, he found himself running into someone when his mind was on another world while he was walking quite often; now was no exception. He crashed into something small and blonde, and then he let out a small yelp as he reached out to catch it in case it was going down.
"Whoops! Sorry!" Edward said with a grimace as he tried to see who it was that he'd nearly bowled over, and then once realizing who it was, his face broke out into a huge grin. "Tink!" He crowed happily, throwing his arm around her shoulder. "It's been faaar too longgg." He informed her, wagging his finger in her face playfully. He had always considered her to be a close friend of his, and he had no problem with public displays of affection. "Oh, hey, you aren't going to eat, are you? 'Cause if you are, we should go together, I'm just saying." He said without waiting for her response, nodding knowingly.
Even though Tinka was with Pete (so far as Edward knew, anyway), one of Edward's closest friends, she and Ed going out to eat together wouldn't be a problem, at least not in Edward's eyes, they were just friends, even though she was so hot and it wasn't like Pete was really the jealous type- that was Edward's job- and he knew that the two of them were just good friends, which Ed was grateful for, because he knew he likely wouldn't be so gracious.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,325,true] Tinka let out a rather audible ‘oof’ as she was run into. A scowl tugging at her lips. The blonde was not a fan of being run into. But then, who was? Actually, that was an interesting idea. Trying to find someone who liked to be run into. Inwardly, Tinka smirked at her thought. That would be such a fun excuse to run into people she hated. In fact, she knew who her first target would be- that stupid little annoying bimbo ass hat, what was her name? Luce the douche Darling. Gah. How Tinka despised that girl. Well, she despised any girl connected to Peter but that was besides the point. There was just something about Luce that was just.. different. Most girls, he didn’t even look at. However Luce? Tinka was deadly afraid she might actually stick it out for the long run. Which was not okay. Very far from okay.
The call of her name awoke Tinka from her reverie. Turning, she let her eyes land on the source of the call. Ed! A grin that matched his own stretched out on her lips. There were very few people she’d let get away with running into her, that this boy was one of them. Out of all Peter’s pose, Tink had such a soft spot for Ed. They were a lot alike, so they clicked really easily. When Peter was pre-occupied, Ed was her go to guy. Sure, that may have been a little nasty, like he was just a stand-in, it’s how it was. No male would ever compare to Peter for Tinka. No matter how good they were, they were no Peter. Tinka did like Ed though. He was a great guy in his own right. He was cool, she digged him. And she was glad she had run into him. Or well, he had run into her.
One thing Tinka loved about Ed was that he assumed she was with Peter. The relationship was far more complicated than that, but she loved how simple Ed made it all seem. His attitude towards it gave the tiny blonde hope that maybe one day that’s just how it would be, no questions asked. “It has been too long, hasn’t it?” She wriggled her eyebrows, giggling a little at the boy. She had been really pre-occupied with Peter lately, so it wasn’t a surprise her other friends were feeling a little neglected. Heh, oh well. They’d get over it. If Pete wanted her attention, he was dammed well going to have it. Screw anyone who had issued with that. She was sure Ed would get it though, that she had her priorities, and sometimes others would just have to wait for her time and attention.
“Yes, yes I was going to eat. I would love your company.” Grinning, she gave the boy a playful poke to the arm. “Then you are going to ride every thrill ride with me ‘til we puke. Sounds fun right?” Wiggling her eyebrows, she smirk. Sadly, Tink was dead-set serious. C O U N T, 508 N O T E S, lol tink <3

CAUSE WE ALL JUST WANNA BE BIG ROCK STARS - - - - - - - - - - d could tell that Tink was not ecstatic about being run over at first, that is, until she turned and actually looked at him, which was of course, after he had hollered at her, and then she grinned back at him after she finally realized it was him. Edward was pretty sure that Tink liked him, and not just as another pretty face because mostly she only had eyes for Pete, being something that Ed would probably be forever jealous of, but would never actually mention to the guy because not only would that be admitting that Edward Guy Whiteley was not the best at absolutely everything but also because duh, it would be extremely awkward, and Edward avoided those sorts of situations as much as humanely possible.
Edward wasn't the easiest to find friends for, however, because of his constant narcissm and slight insensitivity, even though that one was unintentional because honestly he was a good kid despite the fact that he forgot to think about everyone else some of a lot of most of the time. But it wasn't like it was really his fault, he was born that way, after all. Couldn't help the way you were born. Right?
Edward nodded mock-seriously (because to Ed Whiteley nothing was seriously without it being hyphenated along with mock) to her reply. "Yes, it very much has been too long." He told her in his best impression of his father and then grinned as she wriggled her eyebrows and giggled. He chuckled and shook his head. He figured that she'd been out with Pete so much that she just didn't have the time for him, and whatever, he didn't really mind that much, he had other friends anyway. None of them, however, were Tinka Belmount, who obviously could never be replaced, at least not to Edward. She was far too interesting to be replaced by anyone else. Plus, it would be too much of a hassle to find someone to replace her and everyone knew that Edward did not have the attention span to do that, so it was a good thing that Tinka would never actually have to be replaced.
He raised his eyebrows, surprised and caught off guard as she poked him in the arm and then he grinned again at her words. "Oh, let's see, riding every thrill ride with the prettiest girl in the eeenntire park and puking my guts out with her? Um, yes, please, that should not even be a question." Here Ed gave her his best "hello, duh" expression. "So, whatcha hungry for, miss Belmount?" Edward asked, looking back towards the line of cafes, his fingers tapping out a rhythm on his friend's shoulder quietly and quite unintentionally, not knowing or really caring if it was bothering her. Besides, it was Tinka, if it was, he would be told, as Tinka never had a problem making herself heard.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,325,true] She’d said it before, and she’d probably say it again if asked, she had a soft spot for Ed. In a lot of ways they were alike. They both had huge egos, and could be rather self centred. In the ways they were different, they understood where the other was coming from. It was rare that they had a serious disagreement. Sure, they had tiffs that usually lasted until something shiny came along and they were both distracted. It was never serious between them. Which was nice. Tinka had enough angst from the men in her life just with Pete. She didn’t need anyone else coming in and adding to her stress. Not when all she wanted to do was just enjoy life as much as she could considering the stress Pete liked to put her through. One minute he was treating her like shit, the next he was gripping her and not letting her walk away. Talk about whiplash.
Truth be told, if it wasn’t for the intense relationship she had with Peter, or the fact her feelings were so completely tied up in that stupid red-head, Tinka would probably go for Ed. He was good looking, and he made her laugh. Two things she valued in a guy. They just got along so well, and would probably make a good couple. Or at least have a ton of fun with each other in a casual sort of relationship. Either way, she had to admit, he was kind of her type. In fact, sometimes when she was particularly upset or angry at Pete, the blond imagined what life would be like if she had fallen for someone else. A lot of the time in her fantasies, that someone else was in fact Ed. Then again, Peter always seemed to worm his way into her fantasies about other people. The effing asshole.
Pushing such thoughts from her mind, and the subsequent scowl from her features, Tinka let a smile brighten her face and her mood. She was determined not to let that Ranga-Jerk and his little hussy ruin her happy place. She’d just fill her mind with happy thoughts and enjoy her day with Edward. Who else would be up for way too many thrill rides and barfing? Well, Peter... But she wasn’t thinking about him. Nope. Edward was the only one who could fulfil her desires right now. Who needs freaky ginger kids anyway? Not Tinka Belmount, that was for sure. Nope, she was going to have fun with Ed and maybe even make him go out dancing with her later. Hmm. Yeah, clubbing the night away actually sounded like something that would sooth Tinka’s troubled soul. She was sure she could talk the boy into it, give him some incentive to partying with her. Though a drunk and gyrating Tink was all the incentive he should need, right?
Shrugging his hand off her shoulder, Tinka linked her arm through his. She wasn’t sure why, something to do with feeling rather possessive over him in that moment. And also thankful for his company. “I want curly fries..” she stated, eying off the cafes. Attempting to work out which was most likely to have her desired nourishment. Tugging him forward, she moved towards one of the cafes that claimed to serve burgers and the like. She figured she’d be able to at least get some sort fried potato food. Leaning over, she gave his cheek a soft peck. “I’m glad you ran into me.. I needed this today.” It wasn’t often that Tink showed real emotions to anyone besides Pete, but Ed was special.
