" Princesses don't marry kitchen boys.” - Dimitri
NAME: Matthew James Pooka NICKNAMES: Pooka; Matt AGE: 23 BIRTHDAY: Febuary 1st ORIENTATION: Straight NATIONALITY: Russian-Fantasian-American (?) OCCUPATION: Franccois Pastries - Baker PLAYED BY: Jay Baruchel DISNEY: Pooka from Anastasia USER GROUP: Quirky Friend
PERSONALITY !
TRAIT! Clumsy Matt is very clumsy, and tends to trip over his own feet. He tends to break things easily and isn’t trusted in China shops anymore. Matt has been told he could trip on air if the opportunity was ever opened. But, thanks to his height and lanky form, it seems he’ll never be able to grow out of this stage. This is not a pleaser for the ladies, clearly. He never had the confident stride, but instead just tries to focus on not tripping and hurting himself.
TRAIT! Socially Awkward While being clumsy, Matt also is very socially awkward. He has an extremely hard time talking to girls. Sometimes he says things he knows he should have said, but regardless blurts them out. He trips over his words a lot, but when he does manage to speak right, it’s a miracle to him. Rambling on and on about something stupid is one of his ways of talking. Sometimes, he'll go too fast and no one can get what he's saying. Speaking in classes is okay for him, but the second he sees someone looking at him, it's down the drain.
TRAIT! Childish He wants to have fun. The one thing that he tried to keep with him over the years was to not become some pencil-pushing idiot in an office. That’s one of the reasons he joined the Bakery field—to keep an opportunity to be creative. He likes to do wild things like go on rollercoaster’s and be a kid. Matt tries to make sure other people have fun sometimes. Fear possibly drives this--fear that if he doesn't have fun he'll turn out like his father. So, he teases around and plays when the time allows it. But a lot of times, he can make others smile--if he doesn't scare them off with his awkward clumsiness first though.
TRAIT! Realistic Unfortunately, he’s also very realistic and cautions his friends to what could happen. This makes him almost pessimistic, but he just wants to protect his friends. When he has a gut feeling something is wrong, he normally follows through with it and warns others. Being realistic has its downfalls sometimes, but his childish behavior sometimes tries to take over. It's a balance that keeps him in line. Sometimes, he is cautious and focused. While other times, he's begging someone to go to a carnival with him. It just depends on the day and what the situation calls for.
QUIRKS: When Matt gets very nervous, he starts rambling and can’t shut up. This happens a lot when he tries to talk to girls. So, if a girl starts talking to him, he’ll become very talkative—but about dumb things.
LIKES: reading; coffee; rain; hugs; being right; baking; playing piano; secretly loves romance novels; horror movies; roller coasters DISLIKES: talking to girls; large crowds; arrogant people; boring things; drama; making an idiot out of himself; smoking; pop music; waking up early; tornadoes
HISTORY !
Matthew’s mother was Russian, but his father was from the United States. They met when Matthew’s mother was in Chicago to meet family. They fell in love almost instantly and were married. Soon after, Matthew Pooka was born.
They lived in the middle class area of Chicago. His father was climbing the ladder of a big business so he was rarely home. His mother was a housewife and cared for Matthew no matter what. She taught him how to play piano and talked about life in Russia a lot.
As Matthew grew up, he saw more and more that his father had no imagination while his mother was bubbling with it. She would tell him stories everyday about dragons and princesses and how one day Matt would be a great hero. He believed it until he got to the worst place on the face of the Earth—high school.
High school was a horrible nightmare for him. He acquired the nickname Pooka then because of his last name. Each day he was pushed around because of how lanky he was. He wasn’t strong enough for football, didn’t do enough drugs to be a druggie, wasn’t handsome enough to be popular—he was the kid in the background.
That did get him friends however. But, with a consequence—it put him in the friend zone with almost every girl he came in contact with. All but one—Alex Yangood. They at first had been friends, but slowly, they developed into a couple. They dated from his Sophomore year to his Senior year and he loved her dearly.
On graduation day, the two of them went to a large party. Alex told him there that she was moving to Hollywood to become a star. He told her that he’d go with her, or that he’d wait for her and she got mad. She claimed he had no spine, and admitted to cheating on him with one of the football players.
Matt was heartbroken and hasn’t had a girlfriend since. He moved to Fantasia soon after and has lived there ever since. Becoming a baker was a way of rebelling against his father—after he tried to convince him to come work for him.
SAMPLE !
Heat rolled from the oven as another batch of cookies was pulled out. The room reeked of pastries and frosting. The walls were painted pink to give out the happy feeling. The entire bakery gave off the eerily happy feeling, and yet it was comforting. In the bakery, it was just the pastries and thoughts. People would talk and joke, but cooking was an outlet for creativity and a time for thinking.
Matt moved through the workshop with the hot cookie pans in hand. The rule was all fresh cookies were instantly to go to the front, so people knew they were fresh and had a warm cookie. So with his smile, the tall boy walked through the kitchen door to appear behind a pink counter.
He glanced down at the sugar cookies, then up at the shop. In the corner, a group of cute girls were whispering and looking over at him. Matt stared for a moment, his mouth opening a little.
“Ignore them! Focus!” he tried to tell himself. But when a tiny blonde hair girl approached, he felt his knees buckle.
”Uh, hi,” the girl said sweetly.
Matt smiled sheepishly, trying to say hello back—but nothing came out. His cheeks flushed a bright pink, and the girl just giggled innocently.
”What kind of cookies are those?” the girl asked as a blonde curl fell in front of her face.
”She’s really cute,” he thought to himself.
He looked down at the cookies in his hands and the word vomit exploded from him, ”Oh these? These are sugar cookies. It’s weird. Every cookie has sugar in it but I guess these cookies are special. Though that makes sense because this has nothing else. But we can’t just call them cookies because every cookie is a cookie. Which is weird because a cookie is just a sugared biscuit. So I sell biscuits and that’s odd because I also bake biscuits and sometimes I have to make biscuit cakes.”
By the look on the girl’s face, he knew he had said too much. Her eyes were wide and she was staring at him like he was insane. All at once, his knees buckled in and he fell over, the cookies flying into the air.
Matt landed flat on his chest as sugar cookies rained down on top of him. He could hear the girls in the back laughing, and then the laughter getting farther away as they went out the door. He didn’t even have to look up to know she was gone.
Slowly, Matt got back to his feet, and saw the back of the girl’s head as she walked with her friends across the street. He groaned a little, standing fully up and walking to get the broom. His foot landed on one of the cookies, and he slipped—landing on his back this time.
Pain ached through him, and there was only one thing he could shout out, ”Damn sugary biscuits!”

Everything looks good, however I was wondering if you could extend on your personality traits? A good rule of thumb is to try to make your paragraphs have at least six sentances, or about 100 words.
EDIT: Also, could you please change your display name to the correct format, thank you <3
