PERSONALITY !

PLAYFUL! Nala is still as playful as she was when she was a child. She loves to play around and explore new places, especially if it's "against the rules." Nala is curious by nature, and has little to no inhibitions and about going out to explore and learn. Nala has a habit of being a bit too rowdy at times, however, especially when she's in the moon to tackle and roughhouse. Most of the time, though, she saves that for Leo -- so the rest of us are safe. Nala is, and always probably will be, the "girl with the plan." Those in her presence are rarely ever bored, as she always has an idea on how to do something extra fun to spice up a boring night. Nala will be the first to admit when someone else's plan is better, however, and has no problem being a follower at times.
MATURE! Nala isn't a natural leader, meaning that she doesn't make huge attempts to be in charge of anyone or anything. To be honest, having a ton of responsibility is a frightening idea to her. She looks to others to make the decisions mostly, but when the time calls for it, and a leader needs to step up - Nala will be the first to volunteer herself. She has a kind, sweet disposition most of the time - though when she feels someone is betraying her or her family, she will step up to the plate with a hesitation. Nala has a habit of putting other people's wishes in front of her own, and would rather take care of those she loves before worrying about her own personal matters.
STUBBORN! "No" is not a word in Nala's vocabulary. Not so much in the sense of gaining things, but rather, what she wants to achieve. Nala isn't the kind of girl to get distracted by love or anything else that young women tend to get veered off their own path by. Because of this trait, Nala can focus on her specific goals, rather than making herself immediately happy for that time period. Having a younger brother with a single mother taught Nala how to be incredibly convincing too, and can lay on the guilt pretty thickly. She tends to be rather obnoxious sometimes, getting the ones she loves to achieve their full potential and become the person she knows they can be.
LOYAL! No matter how many times someone does her wrong, Nala is an extremely loyal person. When she forms bonds with someone, it's for life. Even though she's in the beginning of adulthood, family comes first for this lion hearted young woman. When she makes a commitment, Nala sticks with it, no matter how hard it is. Nala likes to challenge herself, and the ones she loves, as well. When the going gets tough, Nala's the girl who will stick around, no matter how rough it gets.

HISTORY !

Nala Nikita Kelly was born on August 10th to Sara Kelly, a single mother. Nala was the product of a drunken one night stand, and a "mistake" that her father refused to claim. In Nala's home, she was raised with the idea that women can survive on their own, without the help of any man. Nala had a fairly decent childhood. Her mother owned a small hair salon with several friends, and Nala spent much of her time there with her. When Nala was about two years old, her mother remarried to a man named Scorpius. Scorpius was a member of the Fantasian Mafia, though Nala obviously was not aware of this fact at the time.

When Nala was about three, she first met Leo Proud. Her step-father and Leo's father were in the mafia together, and therefore Leo and Nala spent much time together. Nala grew up around Leo, and shared many adventures with him. A year later, Nala's mother and step-father had a son, Kyle. Nala was thrilled with being an older sister, though made it clear early on that Leo was her friend and not her younger brother's.

As her teenage years approached, Nala was made aware of the plot to have her and Leo married when they were older. Nala was disgusted by this idea - marry Leo? The boy who she had known before she even knew the difference between boys and girls? Nala didn't understand just why her parents were making her marry him, or why they were so interested in having her marry him, anyway. Their relationship carried on as usual, though the idea of marrying Leo was constantly nagging at the back of her mind.

Towards her senior year in high school, Nala was devastated when Leo's father was killed. The whole thing was pretty hush hush, what with it being a mafia act and all. Leo disappeared, and Nala was left scrambling for clues as to why Leo had suddenly shut her off. Now that she's in college, she feels as though she's slowly rekindling her relationship with Leo, but it is a process that is long and exhausting. However, she is determined to regain his trust and hopefully figure out where their relationship stands.
