"Hello, Bambi. Don’t you remember me? I’m Faline." - Faline
NAME: Faline Cammie Doe NICKNAMES: Cam, Do-Re-Mi AGE: Seventeen BIRTHDAY: January 5th ORIENTATION: Straight NATIONALITY: Fantasian OCCUPATION: High School Junior, yeah? PLAYED BY: Ashley Benson ♥ DISNEY: Faline from Bambi USER GROUP: Sex Symbol? :D
PERSONALITY !
CHILDISH! Faline had always been about laughing, playing and enjoying life. She loves playing games and will do anything for a laugh. Much like a child, she giggles uncontrollably when she’s excited and even when startled. Her favorite games would have to be tag and hide and go seek, and even at the age of seventeen, they’re at the top of her games list during parties and other social gatherings. Having grown up without a father and a brother who was never home, she was an uncontrollable bundle of energy with no way let that energy out. Her mother tried her best to introduce her to kids from all over their neighborhood, yet still they could not satisfy her insatiable appetite for play and games. Faline is also a very curious person. She will explore and when meeting new people, she isn’t afraid of going up to their face and saying hello.
EXTROVERT! Faline is definitely not a person who can stay quiet, let alone sit still for a while. Put her in a room full of people and she will know each and every one of them in less than fifteen minutes. As very social person, Faline loves to meet and make new friends. She will stick herself out there and personally take the time to meet you whether you want to meet her or not. She’s also very outgoing and expressive when it comes to her feelings. When Faline is happy, she will laugh, smile, giggle and run around like a rabbit on steroids. She will poke at everyone until a game is played or will dance around herself even if there are people around. However, when she’s sad she will close herself up and hide away. Fortunately, she rarely has those moments for Faline likes to look on the bright side of things and within moments, she will be back up to her usual happy high. Faline is also a bit blunt. She will say what she wants to say and will blurt out what she thinks about a person, good or bad, which often gets her in some sticky situations.
FLIRTATIOUS! Due to her playful nature, Faline is quite the flirt. She likes to toy around with a man until they can stand it no longer. For example, she will kiss a man, run away and come back to kiss him again. Then she will repeat until the man is forced to get up and chase her. And being a beautiful young woman, she has no problem getting all the men she wants. At times, it’s too much for her to handle, yet the game is just too much fun. Faline loves it when the man chases after her and after a bit of prodding, she usually succeeds at catching their attention. Thus, Faline isn’t too much of a serious relationship type of girl. She will flirt with one guy one day and another one the next. She has been waiting for that one man she truly love and stand beside, and when that time comes, she knows her usual routines won’t cut it. However, Faline gets herself in a few relationships here and there, despite the fact that she’s waiting for that special someone.
INNOCENT! Fun, fun, fun is all Faline asks for so at times, she will get lost in her own little world, believing that everything is okay when really, she’s in some messed up, one sided relationship. More of a follower than a leader, Faline is a slight pushover who will avoid confrontation and trouble just to keep everything playful and okay. She can hardly stand up for herself for she hates getting on people’s bad sides (yet sometimes she doesn’t even know it). Thus, she will do as she is told and will follow the herd and instead of standing up for herself, she will call out for outside help.
QUIRKS: Faline’s willing to run around like an idiot in public, can giggle for days non-stop and flirts an awful lot. She’s expressive when it comes to hand gestures and head movements. She loves getting up close and person with people. In her opinion, there is no such thing as a personal bubble. She is also easily excitable.
LIKES: Playing tricks on people, running through meadows, dancing, prancing, laughing, games, boys, spring, playtime, animals, jumping, running in general DISLIKES: Dogs, big dogs, guns, confrontation, anger, gun shots, traps, fire, introverted people, when people ignore her, winter, sitting still, boredom
HISTORY !
Faline had grown up without a father. He had left her mother shortly after Faline was born, as most men do these days and as expected, her mother took it like it was something normal for the same thing had happened in high school when she got pregnant and had Faline’s brother. However, Faline could clearly see the pain stricken across her face when she was just a bit older. However, she supposed that the core focus of that pain must have been from the fact that her older brother had left for the military, leaving the two of them alone.
Faline rarely saw her brother and was close to assuming that he was practically dead until they got a letter from him that he was returning home after a long fought war, somewhere Faline had no interest in researching or visiting. Around the time Faline turned twelve, he came back, but was so different. Faline remembered his face, his attitude and his looks from before he went to war. He was natural and calm, yet upon his return, Faline noticed his strictness and rigidness. It was all too weird, yet soon enough, he had to return and is still fighting in yet another war.
Thus, Faline grew up without either a father or an older brother. Her mother grew very close to her friends and they all ended up living in a sort of community so Faline had many playmates and became a very out going person in the process. She hated the fact that she had no siblings so she said hi to everyone, made friends with anyone who’d listen and her mother even helped her out by introducing her to one of her closest friend’s son. He was a very shy boy and Faline took to him immediately. She loved his quirky and bashful nature, and it wasn’t a surprise that they had become best friends immediately. Yet over time, her mother found herself a better job in another part of Fantasia. Something had happened to friend so Faline never got to see that boy again. Soon enough, they picked up their lives and her mother’s little circle of friends broke apart.
Now, Faline has grown into a beautiful young woman and although she kept some of her child-like qualities from when she was a kid, she has attracted many men far and wide. Throughout middle school and high school, she had her fair share of boys and men, and, of course, she flirted with all of them. Many even fought over her, which she thought was absolutely ridiculous. Thus, she had many relationships; most of them bad relationships. Currently, however, she stands, wondering if she will ever meet that awkward little boy she had met a long, long time ago.
SAMPLE !
Today happened to be one of the rare, luxurious days when rhythm’s mother allowed her to go outside and have a bit of fresh air. Almost every day, she would be kept up in her room, studying or reading or doing anything that was ‘safe’ under her mother’s standards. However, after about a week’s worth of begging, her father gave in and soon her mother did too, allowing rhy to go out and have a little bit of fresh air. Of course, the first place she went to was the park. It was a beautiful day. The sun was out with a few clouds dotting the sky, yet life seemed still and perfect. Rhythm loved it. With blue birds in the distance, chirping their routine song, she lost herself as she strolled down one of the sidewalks, grinning from ear to ear. Her light brown eyes found no focus for she was just taking everything in as if the moment she blinked or turned her head, it would all be swept away from her, yet she knew her mother and father couldn’t work that fast. Thus, in proper correspondence with the momentous day, rhy wore her most comfortable, yet cute, ripped up jeans, her favorite grey tank top with a frilly white vest to pull it all together. Her curled, a matching white hat sat upon her head, keeping the sun from ruining her outdoor experience.
Content, rhy found herself a nice bench, shaded by a large oak tree. It was the perfect place to sit down and enjoy the world. Adding to that, there was a gentle breeze, which was much more pleasant than los angeles’ more common, santa ana winds. It was perfect. Rhythm giggled and squirmed in place. Much like a child, her legs pressed together, hands on either side, gripping the bench as if she was going to be lifted up by a twister or any second now, would be whisked off on some adventure, all just because she hung on to that bench. She could use an adventure.
Rhythm absolutely hated staying indoors. She was a playful, nature lover, who would be happy sitting in a puddle or on a patch of green grass. In her opinion, it was better than her neutral colored room with her brown, blotted earth tone bed. Her room looked like autumn had died and taken over, thus it was rather dreary when it came down to it. The walls were a dark auburn color while the carpet held a more gray than brown color to it. Her mother liked those plain colors. Simple, yet sophisticated. She used to say and rhy would roll her eyes as she took down her own little drawings and paintings from her wall on her mothers command. The reason for doing so was because they were colorful. She loved using colors and so her mother had her take them down. Unfortunately, rhythm was quite good at art had absolutely no way of expressing it. All of her work, paintings and such were kept in a little box hidden inside of her closet, which was filled with sketch books and her tools. Her mother and father hated her interest in art, yet they allowed her to do it. Besides, they weren’t her real parents. They had no say.
Suddenly, the snap of a dead branch caught her attention, her wide eyes focusing intently on the oak tree that seemed to be the bench’s only shield against the sun and from that shield came what seemed like a bird, a baby bird. ”eep!” Rhythm squeaked as she rushed over to the base of the tree. At it’s roots was the fallen branch and among the rubble, a tiny blue fluff ball, which was more feathery down than bird. It’s chirp, high pitched and screechy, was broken song of cacophony and chaos. Rhy closed her eyes and cupped the little bird in her hands. Glancing up, she searched the clear skies for the chick’s parents, yet found absolutely no sign of them. Sure there were birds flying around and blue jays here and there, yet none seemed to pay any attention to the little one. Adding to that, the other blue jays seemed to have chicks of their own.
”hush hush.” Rhy whispered, holding her face close to the baby bird’s warm, frantic body. It’s heart sounded like some sort of rushed time bomb. She shook her head and looked around, bird still cupped gently in her hands, which were now resting in her lap. ”shoot.” She murmured under her breath, hoping that some sort of vet would come along or at least someone who could help. She just didn’t know what to do.

Hello there. I have read your application, but I'm a bit rusty on Bambi. So I'm just going to tell you what I think and then wait for a second opinion.
Personally, I think innocent is the wrong word. Even something like pushover seems wrong. In the scene I just watched, for reference, Faline looked more afraid of the deer pushing her away from Bambi. Does anyone really allow themselves to be forced into relationships? It just kind of happens sometimes. Perhaps that could be shown as a string of bad relationships or something. I don't know. It just rubs me as wrong for the character.
However, like I said, I need a second opinion.

Alright, we've gotten a second opinion and the real big problem that we see with your application is how easily you make it seem that Faline is forced into relationships. I mentioned it previously, as you know. And that seems to be the agreement. I just see this character falling into torturous abuse plots in the future. No woman wants to be in that situation. Perhaps she's had experiences with bad relationships - not just that she'll date whoever prods her hard enough. I understand that Faline was forced away from Bambi. But in translation from the film to here, some things just have to change a little.
Anyway, that seems to be all. :]
