Her looks have got no parallel; But behind that fair facade, I'm afraid she's rather odd, very diff'rent from the rest of us, She's nothing like the rest of us; Yes, diff'rent from the rest of us is Belle!
"I'm afraid I haven't many friends. I'm not as outgoing as one might think, I keep to myself quite often. More times than naught, I'm reading something, so speaking to me isn't at all easy. Books are my everything you see, and being the daughter of an inventor and his peculiar-preschool teacher of a wife, people often look down upon me. I'm not by any stretch of the imagination rich, and I don't fair to be, I'm perfectly content being Belle, the inventor's daughter.
"I don't believe I have many of those. If I do, though, it's probably from injustices I saw in school. You see, in school, I was a very different kind of child, if someone was being bullied and I caught air of it, I was known for putting people in their proper place. Being of average wealth, and growing up as such, I learnt certain values, like how people should be treated with respect and dignity, and I carried it with me up until now. I don't like arrogance, sexism, or plain rudeness, it's uncalled for and doesn't have a place here. My favorite movie of all time was Mary Poppins, so I guess I adopted the whole,'You catch more bees with honey than with vinegar' mentality.
"If my father should have things his way, I'll end up with that Gaston fellow, I'm not too terribly keen on him though, he seems to be just as vulgar as I'd have imagined. And although I'd much prefer someone with a pure heart, someone who's naturally warm and gentle, I suppose my father will end up getting his wish."
