NATIONALITY: Fantasian OCCUPATION: High School student PLAYED BY: Ashley Benson DISNEY: Ducky » Land Before Tine USER GROUP: Childlike
PERSONALITY !
TALKATIVE! It has been said that Daphne has never met a word she doesn’t like. Which is probably true. She likes to talk. A lot. She always has. Even as a baby she would babble away in nonsensical words as though everyone around her could understand her. As she got older, it got a little more annoying, because she actually knew what she was saying, and knew when you weren’t replying correctly. A lot of children grow out of that overly chatty stage though, Daphne never did, really. And she probably never will. Her love affair for words is one for the ages.
EXCITABLE! Daphne is a little blonde fire-cracker. A ball of energy. The energy can be both negative and positive, but she always has it. It doesn’t take much to excite the girl, and she’s often the one squealing in joy at some thing or another. The trouble is her energy is so scattered. She can never sit still for too long, and constantly has to fiddle with things. She’s flighty, which makes her not exactly reliable. Constantly swaying from one opinion to the other. Her mind easy to change, which also makes her rather impressionable. Since she hasn’t completely figured out who she is and what she stands for on a lot of things.
PERKY! A regular ball of sunshine, is our Daphne. She’s definitely the text-book stereotype of a Blonde Cheer-leader. Except perhaps without the b itch factor. The kid’s too sweet, she’d give you a tooth-ache. She’s constantly positive, and even tries her best to be in positive in bad situations, bless her heart. It’s not exactly healthy though now is it? When you don’t express your negative emotions. It’s rare for her to yell or get really upset, but when she does it’s a far bigger deal because it’s things that have been building up for a fairly long while.
CARING! Daphne has a big heart. The biggest really. She’s such a sweet person. So concerned for other people’s feelings. If she sees someone upset, she’ll do her very best to cheer them up. Sure, her wide-eyed, innocent platitudes don’t often do the trick, but the very fact she tries is what makes her the sweetie she is. She’s the sort of girl who will bring you over some cup-cakes just because she can. Or she’ll buy you a gift because she saw it and thought of you. Little things like that are so easy to do and make people’s day brighter.
QUIRKS: CRACKS. Daphne doesn’t step on cracks. Like, you know, with tiles and pavement and stuff? She know it’s silly but it’s that old ‘don’t step on a crack or you’ll fall and break your back’. LANGUAGE. Daphne has an odd way of talking. For one, she often repeats herself or words. Also, she doesn’t like to use contractions. She won’t say ‘I’m’ but ‘I am’ and all those sorts of things.
LIKES: Yellow, Glitter Pens, Taylor Swift, Twilight, Writing in Purple, Drawing on Herself, Lollipops, Pixie Stix, Lip Gloss, Cheerleading, Laughing, Gossip Girl, Horses, Cats, Lime Flavouring, Texting, Nail Polish, Theme Parks
DISLIKES: Mice, Being Yelled At, Big Dogs, Mint, Tea, Cucumber, Black, Frogs, Crows, Heavy Metal, Vamp make-up, Being Home Alone, Really Dark Places, Scaring Herself Silly (though she does it..a lot), No Credit
HISTORY !
Daphne has a large family. She always have, and it’s just really her way of life. The Rolophus family lived in a comfortably middle-class two level home when Daphne was born (and still live there, actually) out in Duckberg. Daphne was the last child, having four older siblings. Five was a lot of children for a modern family, and it did cause some issues, for instance why did the two older boys get their own rooms and all the three girls had to share? And meal times could always be a little hectic. Still, they got by. And as far as families went, they were actually pretty normal really.
Daphne has had a rather easy life. In fact, the most traumatic experience she’d had was when she was seven. The family were away on holidays, at the beach for a day. The curious little chatter-box had managed to wander away from her family and strike up a conversation with someone else. While she was wowing her brand-new friends with a little song and dance, the earth started to shake. The poor little thing had never even heard of a tremor before, let alone been in one. In all the chaos she was separated from her family. Luckily the people she was with had enough sense to get her to safety then take her to the police station to find her family. It was the scariest day of her life though.
Really, other than that, there is nothing much to note. Besides the run-of-the-mill things a girl did. Making friends, Having Sleep-overs, Visiting the zoo, getting her first cell phone, racking up a massive bill on that cell phone, having the phone taken off her. You know, that sort of thing. Now, for Daphne, things are rather different. The two older brother’s had decided they wanted adventure so they packed up and left for the great un-known. So without the older boys, the girls had more space, and—shock, their own room! It was a novelty that really hasn’t worn off.
