PERSONALITY !

TALKATIVE! Seriously, the girl practically never stops talking, even when she knows she probably should. Half of what she says is, more often than not, pointless chatter or rambling, but despite this, she'll get annoyed if she doesn't think people are listening to her properly. Conversations can often go off on a slant if Lily is involved, and if she wants to make her opinion known about something, she will do so. If someone doesn't want to talk to her, she won't always get the hint- you'd need to be loud and clear, if you can get a word in edgeways.

UPBEAT! Lily is, for the most part, a happy and upbeat person, and she'll constantly try and spread this around if she thinks other people aren't happy for whatever reason. Even if she wasn't enjoying something, she'd probably just try to distract herself enough so that she was amused by something else. She's optimistic about pretty much everything, and firmly believes that if a door is closed, a window will be opened. If one of her friends is feeling down, she'll keep trying to make them laugh until she succeeds, no matter how long it takes.

CURIOUS! The girl asks questions. Lots of them. About pretty much anything, too- people, places, how things work. Once she gets a question in her head, she has to get the answer. This can lead to a few problems when said question is about someone else's personal matter, as her curiousness can clash with them wanting to keep their private life, well, private. If she can see that someone isn't going to answer, it can go one of two ways: constantly bugging them until they give in, or constantly wondering about it in silence. Since Lily is open to pretty much everyone about herself, she can find it frustrating when others aren't.

SHORT TEMPERED! If you piss her off, watch out. Lily has a very low threshold for people who she finds annoying, and isn't afraid to show it, either. Known for getting into fights over even little things, Lily's system is usually "punch now, ask questions later". She will hit a boy if she has to too, gender really doesn't affect her temper. As well as having a short temper, Lily can hold grudges for a very, very long time.

WEIRD! If you were asked to describe Lily Lorelai in one word, that would probably be it. From her eccentric personality to the strange outfits she often wears, the girl doesn't exactly scream "normal teenager" to most people. She can be hard to get along with for a lot of people, which tends to make her a bit of a loner, and this can often make her seem even weirder to some.


QUIRKS: Lily is a huge Elvis fan. Seriously, you diss the King in front of her, and she will pound you for it, no questions asked. // She names inanimate objects that she owns, and will use these names rather than what the object actually is. // Curses in french. Even she's not quite sure why. // Has a bit of a family complex, which she tries to hide most of the time. // Bites her fingernails. A lot. // Talks to herself sometimes.

LIKES: the beach, diving, summer, animals, Elvis Presley, horror movies, cartoons, going to the park, geography class, her skateboard, indian food.
DISLIKES: winter, spiders, people who diss Elvis, maths, having to get up early, milk, family holidays, waiting around, flying, dishonest people, being so short.

HISTORY !

To say Lily was an unplanned baby would be a huge understatement. She was the unfortunate result of a quick summer fling: her mother was on vacation with her family, and her father was working at the resort. Both of them were already married to other people, and the pregnancy essentially screwed up two marriages. An impressive feat, considering she hadn't even been delivered yet. Her parents attempted to make it work, but it just didn't- alcohol had been too much of a factor. So, when the girl was born, she was named after the flowers in the hospital room, and the name of the resort she'd been conceived in as a surname. Her parents didn't want her to be traced back to them easily, and they dumped her in a care home before trying to go back to some sort of normality.

Bouncing from foster home to foster home all her life, Lily never had a lot of experience in a fully-functioning family, and kept herself to herself mostly. Her frequent fighting caused problems, and she gradually became more and more eccentric and loud, subconsciously hoping someone would actually notice her properly for it. It didn't happen, and she managed to get into more fights still.

Her social worker eventually transferred her to Fantasia City, calling it Lily's "fresh start", and placing her in a temporary foster home until she found a more permanent arrangement for herself. City life seemed to do Lily some good- more people meant she stood out a little less than before, mostly. She managed to get herself a part time job at an animal shelter, where she felt like she was being accepted, a rejected human with rejected animals, not that she'd ever admit that to anyone. Her grades in school picked up a bit, too, certainly helped by the fact that Larson High wasn't the craphole her old school had been.

Now, Lily is still in Fantasia, and trying to find a more stable and permenant living situation for herself- preferably one where people aren't constantly driving each other mad. The girl took up diving more seriously too, constantly catching the train to the beach to get a taste of the ocean. However, spending so much time up at the beach meant neglecting a lot of opportunities to make some actual friends in the city, and she's still quite the loner most of the time.
