"Morality may consist solely in the courage of making a choice." - Léon Blum
NAME: Victorie Nichole Rolophus NICKNAMES: Vee, Vic, Vitani AGE: Eighteen BIRTHDAY: September 15th ORIENTATION: Heterosexual NATIONALITY: Fantasian OCCUPATION: University Student PLAYED BY: Taylor Momsen DISNEY: Vitani - Lion King II USER GROUP: Reluctant Hero
PERSONALITY !
LOYAL! Loyalty to the core, Vee has always been one to stand up for those she loves. Whether they're right or wrong, she's the kind of person who always has someone's back. Mainly, that means her family. If one were to make fun of her brother, or comment on one of her sister's attributes, she'd be all over them. Inside of her, there's this desire to protect all those close to her and it's almost animal-like, causing her to be the feirce female she is today. Her loyal traits also include how she treats those around her, because she refuses to backstab someone she cares for, immediately stopping any gossip or harm that may come their way.
CLEVER! Whether anyone may agree or not, she's quite the clever girl. She holds intelligence and wit in the palm of her hand, being quick with her mind and her tongue. Not to mention, she can find ways out of situations that may or may not have been thought of before. Of course, she cannot escape everything, but she certainly does try. Vee is often cunning in the world of getting herself out of trouble, thinking of ways to protect herself and even a few others. It's actually hard for her to not try and find escape routes from the predicaments she places herself into.
REBELLIOUS! Certainly a rebel at heart with acts of individuality. Even though she's quite the Mother's Angel, she's still a rebellious type of girl who seems to never be able to stop herself from being that way. Her rebelliousness doesn't go too far, speaking of going against her parents, but in the schooling department.. Well, she's not a good listener there. Instead, she'd rather go against their rules and do things her own way. Her clever tongue get her a long way whenever someone tries to upset her or force her to do something against her will. Granted, physical tendencies can go far, but words cause less issues in the department of teachers and the principal in high school.
INTROVERTED! Always quiet and secluded from the main cliques of the school, Victorie has always been someone who keeps her emotions inside for the most part. The only feelings that she's ever really expressed outwardly and publicly are those of sarcasm, anger, and annoyance. The rest of her emotions stay beneath the surface for she doesn't wish to share the fuzzy and good fulfilling feelings with anyone other than herself. And, in that part, it makes her selfish. But, it also keeps her from getting hurt in the process. If you stay away from the line of fire, you're less likely to be the one getting shot, in her opinion.
QUIRKS: Vee, more often than not, covers her eyelids with black or some other dark eyeshadow to emphasize her eyes. It's not really a quirk, but it's something highly noticable. She also tends to raise her left eyebrow when speaking with her sharp tongue, an expression meant to challenge. Also, she always seems to be licking her lips in the moments of her ponderings, and she snaps her fingers when counting to herself or out loud.
LIKES: Adrenaline rushes, laughter, amusement rides, lollipops, planning, storytelling, snakes, large fires, observing, and sleeping in. DISLIKES: Conflict, bright colours, loss, over-enthusiasm, idiocy, winning vs. losing, revenge, heartache, jealousy, and mimicry.
HISTORY !
Even though she was the second to last child in the family, Victorie feels as though she has always been an important part of the family. Out of all of her siblings, Vee had been the one closest to their mother for some reason, which is rather shocking compared to their different personalities. Growing up, she had been the quiet type, always going off to be away from the rowdy bunch of her family, but was always sought out by her mother. During those times, Vee's mother would take the time to talk to her second youngest daughter about her past experiences and other stories that they talked about together. All of those moments lead to the closeness of their mother-daughter bond, allowing Vee's loyal personality to take hold.
Having one younger sister, one older sister, and two older brothers was indeed hectic throughout life. If her brothers weren't wrestling with each other, they'd try and take down one of the girls. Vee was usually their main target because she'd wrestle right back with them. Despite her introverted and silent ways, she was always up for a good fight with the guys of the family. And, she was actually disappointed when the moved away from the house, even though she finally was able to have her own room. Actually, she related better to her brothers than either of her sisters, because in all reality, Victorie wasn't all that girly to begin with. Her younger sister had always been the bubbly-type, always peppy and cheery. As for her other sister.. Well, they just weren't all that alike.
The only times that stand out in Vee's memory are those where she stood up for her family, those where she shared stories with her mother, and those where she went on adventures in her books. Often, she would simply 'run away' and read her latest addiction- books that were far beyond her years. Rather than going out to have some fun, she chose to stay in and take on the journeys of what her life would be like in a story. Not a fairytale with a princess and such, but a path of tangle tensions and hard core events.. Her imagination contained limitless possibilities of what could happen, but she was always brought back to Earth whenever something else happed in the real world. Something would break or dinner would be ready, letting the stampede begin.
Although her life sounds somewhat boring, it wasn't always like that. When she was younger, she'd pick on boys at school just to cause a fight and her confidence would intimidate the girls from coming up to her. She strayed from cliques and groups of friends, going off on her own and being her independent self. Of course, she'd kick some poor kid's butt for picking on one of her sister's or something, but any other time, she'd be the loner student, away from the center of attention. Vee enjoys the limelight from time to time, but it's not something that's ever been important to her. All through life, she's hidden herself behind her mother or her sister's to keep from being seen. Her preferences have been chosen and they've stayed that way for quite some time.
And, even though she was a quite loner, she still seemed to turn into the rebel of the class.. Acting out and saying obnoxious things at the most inappropriate times. Victorie didn't mind going against the teachers or other students, as long as she had her fun. Her father didn't have much to say about her behavior, but her mother would surely continue to sit her down and speak to her about everything. Out of all three of the girls, Vee's mother would confide in Victorie the most, allowing her lose reigns where she wouldn't let any of her other children do certain things. In those cases, she can see the conflict between herself and her siblings, but it wasn't her fault that her mother had gained a high opinion of her.. Even if her mother was mostly thinking of herself in those situations.
One particular decision in Victorie's life has left its mark upon her. During her junior year of high school, Vee was brought to a party by some random senior, someone who wanted to try and have her open up. Of course, it amused her, so she went along with it. She was served alcohol, which she regrettably drank, and finally decided to leave as things were getting out of hand. Her life wasn't horrible, it could be better, but things were doing decently. But, there was still the temptation of giving in to the party animals, especially when everyone started pressuring her to take a puff of a joint that someone was passing around. Two people on one side kept telling her that she shouldn't do it, while everyone else was urging to go through with it, to let go and feel good.
At that point, her world began to spin. Everything tensed up inside of her and she felt as though she was just going to fall off the side of the world. People continued to push her, to try and force the drugs on her. So much so, that they continued to take out pills, weed, and other illegal things that she was sure shouldn't have been in their hands to begin with. But, a darkness clouded her vision and the urge to be wild and free kept knawing at her insides. After quite some time, her decision finally made its way through the hazy fog of alcohol and the noise, her conscience finally speaking through. Her answer was 'no,' of course, but it was still the hesitation that worried her. Now, she's glad that she'd made the decision, but she can remember the difficulty she'd had at choosing the better side of what her life has become.
SAMPLE !
The day was a bit breezy but the sun was shining and the clouds were puffy. Even though it was a bit of citylife outside, the birds still chirped and traffic sounds rode down the sidewalks. All of the sounds would just sweep into your eardrums and make you familiar with the driving cars, chatty people, and even the occasional barking dog. Today was a rather busy day, everyone bustling about the streets of Downtown.. getting to where they needed to go in the shortest time possible. And that brings the subject of time up. Everyone has a lifetime to live, but when they live the same life every day, then who's to say that they really lived by the time the become deceased? People would rather be prompt and successful over having fun and letting go.
Which is why the K & S Law Firm was exquistely busy with bunches of people entering and exiting the building in a furious-like manner. On this particular day, however, the co-owners were both unavailable to the son of Mufasa because of being knee-deep in a very large amount of work. Therefore, they had told him to just hang around the building and to not stir up any trouble. They knew that he could be a bit irresponsible at times but they were trying to trust him enough. Simba had indeed set up an appointment with his father or his uncle, but he had to be patient. Patient enough to wait quietly until they had completed all of their to-do lists. But, Simba knew that those tasks could take multiple hours which made him grow anxious as he waited.
So, at the moment, he stood in the lobby-area of the law firm. His hands were shoved deeply into his blue faded jeans as he tapped his black and white sneakered foot with impatience. After a moment, he stretched, his black shirt tightening around him for only a second before he crossed his arms in front of his chest. It had been nearly a half an hour and he was already annoyed about the tedious wait. Simba began to walk toward one of the elevators, deciding that he wasn't just going to stand there for forever more. Stepping into the small, enclosed area while the doors closed behind him, he left the sounds of ringing telephones and more people chattering away behind. He pressed the button for the thirty fifth floor. As he studied the maroon, designer carpet and the buttercream colored wallpaper in the elevator in the bright, eye-aching light, he let his thoughts wander.
A sudden yet annoying 'ding' sound came from above the elevator door as Simba arrived to the thirty fifth floor. Stepping into the dimly lit hallway, he blinked furiously, attempting to have his adjust to the sudden darkness quickly. Following along the dark teal carpet and blank, white walls, he eventually found a door. It was a simple door that looked like any other and it was one that a lot knew about.. also, it was where the staff usually hung out on breaks or to take a nap instead of heading home. At the moment, however, he found it empty. Smiling at this, he let himself in a filled his favorite mug with the coffee that was already brewed in the pot.
Yes, he didn't work here, so what gave him the right to take the staff's coffee when he could just go out and pay for his own? Well, the fact that his father worked here and not one person could give him crap about being in the building. If they had a problem with him being in the staff room, then he could easily point them into the direction of Mufasa's office. And as he thought about his father a bit, he sat down onto one of the nice, cream-toned couches that was located in the middle of the room. Adjusting into the couch, he made himself comfortable as he gazed at the cheap picture on the wall. It was the classic 'Fruit of the Loom' piece of art that almost everyone knew. It was the bowl of fruits, painted of course, that people always swore was art.
Of course, Simba's view of art was something completely different than what everyone else thought. But he often kept his opinions about art and such things to himself.. those things being a bit too intellectual for him to speak about in public. You could say that he put up a front around other people, because he did. He would laugh and act goofy around other people, but when alone, he had a lick of intelligence about him. Granted, he was an intelligent man that had potential, but when he didn't feel like applying himself, he refused. Not many people were actually fond of his carefree personality, but that was always the side that they knew.. He didn't really care what others thought, but he did wonder sometimes what it would be like if he acted smart around everyone instead of his reckless self.
Pondering over this piece in his mind, he sipped his coffee as his fingers began to drum lightly on his left, upper thigh. While his muddy brown, dark topaz-like eyes surveyed the light walls of the somewhat small room, his mind continued to buzz. Mufasa, Sarabi, Drako, Nala, and even Kade and Timone didn't know about his more.. responsible side. Simba didn't even know it that well, either, but he did know that he wasn't the same as he was around them. When alone, like now, his mind was always on things that were far too wise for him to comprehend. Okay, so he was twenty four years old.. that's hardly old enough to be considered wise enough to poner things such as your intelligence level around other people.
Besides, he would often act crazy and childish.. so why was he simply calm and alright in the head when he was enclosed in his room, his mind wandering the abyss that was located in the back of his mind. It was almost like he had two completely opposite personalities inverted into him but they were only triggered by who he was around. This suddenly made his face go a bit paler.. almost as if he had been frightened by the fact that the possibility of have multiple personalities was not, infact, impossible. But then he let out a small bark of laughter, knowing that he was just being too silly just by dwelling on these absolutely ridiculous thoughts and theories that meant positively nothing. Worthless scraps of thought that did not deserve a second surface thought for until years to come.
